Three Hoarsemen Interview

The Three Hoarsemen Podcast Donna Royston, Martin Wilsey and I were interviewed a week ago for Episode 44 of the Three Hoarsemen podcast. We got to discuss our anthology, Worlds Enough: Fantastic Defenders, in our various roles as editors or, in Marty’s case, as the publisher (Tannhauser Press) of the volume.

Worlds Enough: Fantastic Defenders We had a lot of fun being interviewed. We got to talk about the anthology, our other works, Tannhauser Press and a few other subjects. The podcast is an hour and forty-two minutes long. If you want to skip forward to our interview, we’re at the 1:07:48 mark.

I especially liked their name for the episode. Since they also discussed the movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, earlier in the podcast, the title they chose was: “Fantastic Defenders of the Guardians of the Galaxy.”

I think that has a nice ring to it.

Martin Wilsey Interviewed Me…

David Keener at the Washington DC Cherry Blossom FestivalMartin Wilsey, author of the Solstice 31 trilogy, was kind enough to feature an interview with me on his blog. He does a regular “Fast Friday Interview” feature where he runs interviews with fellow indie writers. You can find my interview on his web site right now.

In the interview, I talk about things like how I became a writer, as well as my mutant writing method that STILL has all of the other folks in my writing group shaking their heads in bemusement. PLUS, I talk about some of my upcoming projects, which I’m really excited about.

So, that’s right, go over to Marty’s site and check out the interview. And, hey, thanks, Marty! I had a lot of fun participating.

My Gig as a Television Host

For grins and giggles, here’s a couple photos of me hosting an interview segment for the television show, Mastering Business Communications. It’s a monthly show which airs on cable networks in the Washington DC metropolitan area. The show was recorded on February 19, 2013.

These are also the only photos in existence of me with a beard.

Television Interviewer

I recently had the chance to be an interviewer during a segment of the television show, Mastering Business Communications. The show is run by Toastmasters District 29 in northern Virginia, and appears on Comcast Channel 28 in that area. It’s taped monthly at the Comcast Studio in Herndon, VA.

I was impressed with how efficiently the show was managed. We managed to tape a fairly complicated show with a number of diverse segments in just a few short hours. The studio was awesome — truly a professional, working studio. I was also very pleased with the show’s production values, including the lighting, the deft camera work, and the top-notch editing.

Overall, my second bout at being a television interviewer was a smashing success (as an aside, my first interviewer role was with Arlington Independent Media in 2010). Everybody involved with the production had a lot of fun (and then we went out drinking).
