I thought it would be interesting to show what my planned 2022 publishing schedule looks like, especially in comparison to previous years. Check out the timeline below:
As you can see, my goals for 2022 include publishing:
- 1 Novel
- 6 Novelettes
- 3 Anthology Appearances
As you can see, I’m publishing more works in 2022 than in the period 2017-2021 before that. After my first five years as a writer, I had five “for pay” publications. By the end of 2022, I’ll have fourteen.
My schedule for 2022 is also what I’d call “high confidence.” All of the stories are complete, although I’m expanding a couple of them, notably “Finders Keepers” and “Death Comes to Town.” I also already have covers for about half of the publications.
Just did the Hourlings Podcast episode where we discussed how well we did on our writing production goals for 2021 (33%) and what our goals were going to be for 2022. As you can see from the above timeline, my goals for 2022 are pretty ambitious. But doable, I think.
On the schedule, “Guardians of the Low Road” has been renamed to “Stone Spirits.”
…and “Stone Spirits” is now being published in the “Restless Spirits” anthology, to be published in late February.
“Bitter Days” is on target for the end of March, 2022. I just finished formatting the print edition today, in fact.
Modestly delayed due to other publishing tasks.
“Road Trip” print edition was published on February 17, 2022.
