On October 15, 2022, I was selling books at the “Eat Local, Read Local” event in Loudoun County. This was a fun event for readers and book buyers that featured local authors and food trucks.
I just heard today that Eric Flint died at the age of 75. Besides writing good books, he’s done a lot for the SF field, especially the Alternate History sub-genre. He’s also helped expose the works of classic writers to new generations and helped out lots of new writers. Today is a sad day.

So, I went off looking for the videos for this year’s Balticon 56. After all, it was a hybrid convention, with both an in-person and a virtual track. Well, they’re not up yet…but I found the videos for 2020 and 2021 (when it was all virtual). Check it out!
