FANTASTIC DETECTIVES, the new anthology from Donna Royston and myself, launched today. The new volume contains a Baker’s Dozen of fantasy/crime stories from an international set of authors. Includes my novelette, “Jonelle Crosse,” set in my “Thousand Kingdoms” fantasy series.

Economics is one of the tools that SF writers can use to add plausibility to their settings. In this episode, our fearless team of prognosticators will tackle the economics of one of the most common SF settings…humanity’s expansion into a solar system spanning civilization (think of The Expanse). What goods will people need…or want? How does economics affect government? Will there be space tourism? What about the trope of the grizzled Belter prospecting for fame, glory, and money in the asteroid belt…is that ever going to happen? How do we incorporate economics into our stories?

On October 15, 2022, I was selling books at the “Eat Local, Read Local” event in Loudoun County. This was a fun event for readers and book buyers that featured local authors and food trucks.
