Episode 7 of the Hourlings Podcast Project (18 minutes) is now available on YouTube. This episode’s topic is “The Hook,” which we define loosely as anything that pulls the reader into your story. Hooks can be embodied by a book’s cover, its blurb, the first paragraph of a story, or even the twists/revelations that make you read the next chapter.
This podcast is also shorter than our previous six podcasts. We got some feedback that viewers preferred shorter, more focused podcasts because of the smaller time investment. Instead of 45 minutes to an hour, this podcast and our subsequent ones will be fifteen or twenty minutes instead.
