Virtual Vacation: Star Trek Enterprise

For this week’s virtual vacation, I took a tour of NCC-1701, the Enterprise, under the command of Captain Kirk. This is a picture snapped by Yeoman Rand on the bridge. I’m standing in the back, in my blue science officer uniform, near the elevator.

All right, if you insist. This was really a mock-up of the Enterprise that was a feature of Worldcon 64, in Anaheim, CA, in 2006. The crew members are wax figures that had been sold off by a bankrupt wax museum and purchased by an intrepid entrepreneur. I paid $40 for this pic, and it was worth every penny of it.
